Not all of our members can attend public raven moon ceremonies because of distance, health or other reasons. Here is a simple ceremony you can hold yourselves, either alone or together with your nearest. It captures the essence of the raven's qualities such as knowledge from above, curiosity, creativity and intuition.
Indoor version
Use a living room or a quiet room. Prepare a raven fan, and if you don't have feathers you can make a simple one out of paper and draw a raven or raven's foot on it, an offering (grain, nuts or water), and a candle/fireproof dish.
Cleanse the room: Walk around with smoke (juniper or sage) and say: «I cleanse this room of bad energy.»
Open the circle: Stand in the middle, light a candle or a small fire on a dish, and invite the raven: «Raven, knowledge from above, come here with your strength.»
Cleanse yourself: Waft smoke toward your body while you breathe deeply, visualize the raven removing heavy energy.
Raven dance: Move around the room, movements like the raven's flight – wave your arms, spin lightly (alone or with others).
Offering: Place the offering in front of the candle, say: «To the raven I give this in gratitude for knowledge and creativity.»
Sharing: Sit quietly, reflect on an insight or share aloud if with others.
Closing: Thank the raven, extinguish the candle, say: «The circle closes in peace.»
Outdoor version
Choose a place in nature such as a garden, forest or park. The same preparations, but use real fire (in a safe place) and natural elements.
Cleanse the area: Walk around with smoke or clap your hands, say: «Nature is cleansed of bad energy.»
Open the circle: Light a bonfire or fire pit, invite: «Raven, out here in freedom, come with your wisdom.»
Cleanse yourself: Waft smoke or use the wind, stand with open arms toward the sky.
Raven dance: Dance around the fire, imitate the raven's movements – jump, spin, use the space (in pairs if there are several of you).
Offering: Place the offering in the fire or on the ground, say: «To the raven in nature I give this for intuition and truthfulness.»
Sharing: Sit by the fire, share thoughts about the day or the raven's message.
Closing: Thank nature and the raven, extinguish the fire safely, say: «The circle closes in harmony.»
These versions are safe and flexible, and take 20–40 minutes. Adapt as needed, but keep the intention pure.
