Introduction
I was born on a winter day in 1957, on a Thursday, in fact! It is said that Thursday's children have "far to go" – and that holds true for me, for I have always been a traveling "tumbleweed." While others have bought themselves goods and gold, I have bought myself journeys. The karma office knew exactly what it was doing when it sent me down to earth. I ended up in families that suited me perfectly. My maternal grandfather's farming and teaching family gave me access to a wealth of books. As the nerd I am, that was right up my alley. My maternal grandmother's family loved mystery and magic, so I heard about Mercury, foxglove and elves before I ever heard about home economics and algebra. My paternal grandfather's family descended from the Forest Finns, and many striking figures skilled in sorcery hang from that family tree, while my paternal grandmother's family were sturdy workers who leaned toward the church and who taught me the difference between an open mind and a hole in the head. With a background like that, and being a notorious scribbler, Kyrre Franck took me into Sjamanforbundet, and here the ceiling is just high enough that I set my tail down and stay. I have been given the chance to write a little for the federation, and I hope you will find joy in my writings. And this, my dear Seekers, Witches, Druids and Shamans, was all from me for this time. Thank you for your interest.
Greetings, Anita
