As we stand at the threshold of a new year, I send you a warm and heartfelt greeting from my heart to yours. May the stillness of the dark season and the return of the light fill you with gratitude, wisdom and a deeper connection to all that lives.
Gratitude and community
I want to express my deep thanks to everyone on our boards, our ceremony leaders, our forstandere and volunteers across the country. Your work, your time and your devotion are the very force that keeps our shamanic flame alive. Every ceremony, every organizing meeting, every supporting hand and every shared moment helps our community continue to grow in strength and soul. Together we carry a living tradition, and together we create the way forward.
Building spirit, not ego
This year has reminded us how important it is to build spirit rather than ego. True power is not found in being seen, but in seeing – deeply, openly and with love. When we choose humility over pride, presence over performance and stillness over noise, we make room for wisdom, peace and genuine connection. Our path is not about dominating, but about attuning ourselves to the rhythm of life.
URTRO Day – the roots that unite
One of the year's most beautiful highlights was URTRO Day, where we celebrated the diversity of spiritual paths and honored our roots in nature's sacred circle. This day has become an annual symbol of unity, respect and connection – a meeting point where many voices can gather in one shared song to the earth.
Out into the world – and back to the roots
This year we also had the honor of representing Norway at the OSCE (Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe) – an important step for our movement and for the recognition of the shamanic voice on the international stage. There we shared perspectives on peace, the rights of nature and spiritual equality – values that grow out of the earth itself.
Naturefest is reborn
In 2026, Naturefest will be reborn in a new form! With new energy, stronger grounding and richer collaboration, this celebration will once again become a vibrant meeting place where people, nature and spirit come together in joy, gratitude and shared creation. It will be a marking of the cycle of life – and of our renewal as a community.
A new year of change and renewal
As we look ahead, we know that the winds of change will also blow through the coming year. Some structures will renew themselves, new forms will emerge, and we will find more ways to share, gather and act. This is a natural part of any living tradition – for spirit grows when it is allowed to breathe.
My wish for the new year
Let us enter the new year with trust, courage and love in our hearts. May we continue to be bridge builders between worlds, guardians of nature's sacredness and bearers of the old wisdom in a new age. May the flame of the soul shine within you and guide you safely through the year to come – for it will be a year of both growth and transformation.
