New Year's Greeting from Kyrre G. Franck

Dear friends and members of Sjamanistisk Forbund

As we stand on the threshold of a new year, I send you all a deep and heartfelt greeting from my heart to yours. May the final days of the year and the first dawn of the new year fill you with hope, wisdom, and a renewed connection to all that is.

Gratitude and recognition

First, I wish to express my deepest gratitude to all who help keep our shamanic flame burning. A special thank-you goes to our dedicated chair of the board, Christoffer S. Eid, whose leadership and vision have been invaluable to our growth and development. To all our ceremony leaders, wardens, and volunteers: your effort is the very lifeblood of our community.

The vision that unites us

When we founded Sjamanistisk Forbund, it was with a vision of reviving and carrying forward ancient traditions in a modern context. Today we see the fruits of this work. We have created a living community where ancient wisdom meets the needs of the present, where the rhythm of the drum calls us back to our roots while at the same time leading us forward.

Building a bridge between generations

As we grow and develop, it becomes ever more important to include the young in our community. They are the bearers of the future, and it is our sacred duty to pass the knowledge and traditions on to them. Let us invite them into the circle, teach them the language of the drum, and show them the paths through the invisible worlds. Let us find new ways to share knowledge.

Our achievements and the road ahead

We have achieved much together. From our first cautious steps we have now grown into a strong and diverse community. We have established the Ceremony Leader School, which has no equal in Norway. We are taught about from primary school up to university level and, last but not least, we have published the ceremony book. Sjamanistisk Forbund has changed how most people view shamanism. You as a member are an important part of this journey, which is far from over. From the depths of my heart and soul, I thank you for helping to create a living tradition.

In the time to come, we must continue to strengthen the bonds between people and nature, between the visible and the invisible. We must be guardians of the old wisdom while at the same time adapting to a rapidly changing world. Let us together explore new ways of bringing the healing power of shamanism into everyday life and into society.

To those who feel alone at this time

To those of you who feel loneliness at this time: Remember that you are never truly alone. Our forefathers and foremothers, the spirits and forces of nature, are always with us. They whisper in the wind, sing in the stream, and dance in the flames. Open your heart and feel their presence. In the stillness you can hear their wisdom; in dreams you can meet their love.

My wish for the new year

Let us enter the new year with open hearts and clear minds. May we continue to walk between the worlds with reverence and courage. Let us be bridge-builders, between past and future, between the physical and the spiritual, and also bridge-builders to one another. There is much magic to reap if we stretch ourselves a little in meeting others.

Dear friends, you are all bearers of a sacred flame. May this flame light up your path through the coming year, bring healing where it is needed, and ignite inspiration in all whom you meet.
